Golf is an outdoor game in which the player
tries to hit a small hard ball into a series of 9 or 18 holes using
as few strokes as possible.

Origin :
There are many legends and dispute about the origin of golf, which
the far most era can be before Christ. Golf began popular in 1420
to 1430 in Scotland.
General knowledge about golf course
A standard golf course is about 1000 mu to 2000 mu, which is constructed
according to the basic landform and natural scene. Therefore there
are no same golf course in the world.
There are 18 holes to form a standard golf course. There is long
hole, middle hole and short hole from tee to green.

white area and red area. The blue tee is the farthest from green,
which is for male professional players. The white tee is between
blue and red, which is for male amateur player. The red tee is for
female player.
Green: A special area with grass cut short surrounding
a hole on a golf course.
Caddie: a person who carries a golfer's clubs for
him during a game. And he not only cleans the tools but also give
his own opinions about how to play well. He should obey some regulations.
Handicap: (shortening as HDC) Number of strokes
by which a golfer normally exceeds par for the course. The smaller
the numbers, the higher level golfer has.
Golf rule: The rule is made by American Golf Association and British
Saint Andrew Royal Golf Club jointly.
Mark: a flag marks a position where the golf ball
stops
Tee: small spiked stand of wood, plastic, etc on
which a player places his golf ball before striking it at the start
of each hole.
Dog Swing: it is also called dog leg. It is sharp
bend on a golf course. There are left swing, right swing and two-side
swing.
Hazard: It is an obstacle on a golf course, such
as artificial pool, bunker, river, lake and grass area.
O.B: It means over border.
